  • We should do everything we can to make sure that all committed couples have the tools they need to provide for and protect their families. Equal marriage rights provide those tools.
  • More than 7,000 gay and lesbian couples in Massachusetts are safer and more secure today because they have equal access to marriage.
  • The rights of minority groups should never be put up for a popular vote, and we should not use the state Constitution to take away existing rights from Massachusetts families.
  • The legislature has already spent two years debating the issue of marriage equality, and it’s time to move on to other important issues that affect the people of Massachusetts, like.
