Carly Burton, Deputy Director

Carly has had a variety of professional experiences in the world of nonprofit public policy advocacy. Previously, she served as the Director of Strategic Development at the Providers’ Council, a statewide association of non-profit, community-based care giving organizations in Massachusetts. She also worked as the Deputy Director of the Massachusetts Immigrant and Refugee Advocacy Coalition (MIRA) focusing on improving immigrant access to public programs. Carly earned her Master’s degree in Social Work at Boston University and was the recipient of the 2010 Hubie Jones Urban Service award from the BUSSW Alumni Association. She currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Haymarket People’s Fund and volunteers with the Grief Support Services network at Samaritans, Inc. Carly lives in Jamaica Plain with her partner, Mo.
