Give the Gift of Equality!

Dear Friend,

Happy Holidays from the staff and board of MassEquality! As we look back on the past year and prepare for 2019, we're reflecting on the progress we've made and the work that is still needed to achieve full equality for LGBTQ people.

2018 has been quite a year. From our community's historic victory in November upholding Massachusetts' transgender rights law to passing laws protecting LGBTQ elders and preserving patient privacy on insurance statements, to increasing funding for LGBTQ community priorities in the state budget, we have a lot to celebrate as the year draws to a close. And our success in sending more pro-LGBTQ legislators to the State House—including several LGBTQ legislators and dynamic, progressive women—means that our community will have more support on Beacon Hill.

But we can't rest on our victories or take our hard-won rights for granted. The Trump administration continues to target the LGBTQ community, repealing vital anti-discrimination protections we once thought were secure. With the ongoing assault on our rights happening on the federal level, MassEquality's state-level work to defend our legislative victories, elect LGBTQ champions to public office and protect our community’s rights is more important than ever.

That’s why we're inviting you to become an Equality Champion right now with your generous year-end gift.

Please join us as we work to protect the most vulnerable among us. LGBTQ youth, elders and transgender people continue to face major threats to their safety, well-being and civil rights, and we cannot sit on the sidelines while our community is being attacked. We must renew our efforts here in Massachusetts, where we can not only increase LGBTQ protections but also blaze new trails for equality. Your support today will help ensure that we can keep fighting strong in 2019 and beyond!

The LGBTQ community faces challenging times ahead, but MassEquality will continue working hard to achieve our goal of fairness and equality for all. We've been at the forefront of the struggle for LGBTQ rights in Massachusetts for over 15 years, and we're not about to stop now! But we need your help to stay in the fight for equality.

Let us know that you stand with us, Friend: Donate now to help us prepare for the challenges of 2019!

Thank you for joining us and for your continued support as we forge ahead.
