Dear Friend,

Massachusetts is once again a major battleground for LGBTQ rights. The same people who fought against marriage equality, women's rights, and many other civil rights issues are at it again. And this time, they're going after our transgender friends and neighbors. They're using every trick they can think of to convince Massachusetts voters to repeal the law that has protected transgender people in the Commonwealth for the past two years.
The thing that worries me most is that there's just over 50 days left before the election. That doesn't give us much time to reach as many voters as possible and spread the message: transgender people should be treated like everyone else. The current law does just that by ensuring our transgender neighbors can use and enjoy public spaces without fear of discrimination.
MassEquality is dedicated to ensuring that our transgender neighbors will continue to be protected under the law, and I hope you'll join us in this fight! Here's how you can help:

50 Days to Election Day Rally, Sunday, September 16, 2018 at 10:00 am at Copley Square, Boston, MA

  1. Rally with us and the YES on 3 campaign in Copley Square! Join us this Sunday, September 16th at 10:00 am and show your support for these important protections for the transgender community. And bring a friend or four! Please RSVP here, and tell them MassEquality sent you.
  2. Help us spread the word! Share the news about the rally with your friends, neighbors, colleagues and networks on Facebook and Twitter, and encourage them to attend.
  3. Take the pledge to protect transgender rights and vote YES on 3 on November 6th!

MassEquality stands with our transgender neighbors in the ongoing fight for fairness and equality. And we know you stand with us. Help keep Massachusetts a national leader in equality—join us at Copley Square on Sunday, September 16th and then vote YES on 3 in November!

I hope to see you on Sunday.
