What are the Icon Awards?
MassEquality's Icon Awards honors and celebrates individuals and/or entities who have demonstrated extraordinary leadership and a steadfast commitment to bettering the lives of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) people and allies in the Commonwealth. The evening features a VIP cocktail reception, an elegant dinner, live entertainment and thought-provoking speakers and guests. David Brown, Chief Advancement Officer of the Forsyth Institute and former Storm Team 5 meteorologist for WCVB-TV Channel 5 will emcee the event. Now in its second year, the Icon Awards will take place in the Oval Room on the historic Fairmont Copley Plaza, and is expected to outgrow its inaugural year with over 200 attendees.
